What does it do?

Measure the latency between your browser and a public endpoint using browser-friendly timing.

How does it work?

SiteIndex times a browser HTTP request to the target and reports the round-trip time. The Advanced panel runs 5 back-to-back samples so you can see latency variance (jitter) instead of a single reading.

When to use it
  • Get a quick sense of latency to a public endpoint.
  • Compare latency variance across repeated checks.
  • Sanity-check a slow-feeling connection before deeper network diagnostics.
Inputs and outputs

A result shown in the browser that can be reviewed or copied where supported.

Privacy and data handling

How to use it

  1. Enter a public website URL or hostname.
  2. Run the check to collect HTTP response-time samples.
  3. Compare minimum, average, maximum, and jitter values across the samples.
  4. Use Website Down Checker if the target appears unreachable.
