Inspect A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, NS, SOA, and CAA records for a domain.

What does it do?

Inspect A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, NS, SOA, and CAA records for a domain.

How does it work?

SiteIndex queries public DNS resolvers for A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, NS, SOA, and CAA records. The Advanced panel compares Cloudflare, Google, and Quad9 side by side so you can spot propagation differences after a DNS change.

When to use it
  • Verify DNS records after changing hosting, email, or a domain configuration.
  • Check whether a DNS change has propagated across major public resolvers.
  • Confirm MX and TXT records for email deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC context).
Inputs and outputs
Input
A public website, domain, or network value required by the check.
Output
A result shown in the browser that can be reviewed or copied where supported.
Limitations
  • Results depend on the input, browser, network, and external service involved.
  • This tool is informational and does not replace specialist diagnostics.
Privacy and data handling

The requested public target is sent to SiteIndex only as needed to perform the check. SiteIndex does not require an account or intentionally store the target as a report. See the Privacy Policy for analytics and retention details. Read the Privacy Policy.

How to use it

  1. Enter a domain name without a path or protocol.
  2. Choose the record types to query and run the lookup.
  3. Compare returned values with your DNS provider's expected records.
  4. Check TTL and resolver differences before making another change.
