Timestamp Converter
Batch convert

Convert a list of Unix timestamps in the selected unit or ISO dates, one value per line.

How to use it

  1. Choose Seconds or Milliseconds to match the numeric source.
  2. Enter the number and select Convert to date, or enter an ISO timestamp and select Convert to Unix.
  3. Include Z or an explicit offset in a date for unambiguous timezone handling.
What is Timestamp Converter?

Convert between Unix timestamps and human-readable dates in seconds or milliseconds.

How it works

Choose seconds or milliseconds explicitly, then convert the numeric Unix value to an ISO UTC date or convert a date to Unix time in that unit. Use current time fills both fields from the device clock. The Advanced panel converts a list of numeric values in the selected unit or ISO dates.

Example input and expected output

Input

1700000000 (seconds)

Expected output

2023-11-14T22:13:20.000Z
Common uses
  • Convert a single Unix timestamp from an API response or log.
  • Get the current Unix time for testing.
  • Convert a batch of timestamps from a log file in one pass.
Limitations
  • Date parsing follows the browser's JavaScript Date implementation. Use explicit ISO timestamps with Z or an offset; timezone-less strings can be interpreted locally.
  • Outputs are limited to the JavaScript Date range, and converting to seconds rounds down to the previous integer second.
Frequently asked questions
Does this handle milliseconds?
Yes. Select Milliseconds before converting a millisecond value. There is no automatic digit-count guessing.
Which timezone is used?
ISO output is UTC with Z. Date input with an explicit offset is converted to the same instant; date input without an offset follows JavaScript Date parsing.
What happens to invalid dates?
The conversion shows an error and clears the destination field rather than displaying NaN or throwing an uncaught exception.
Does Use current time contact a time server?
No. It reads the device clock, which may be inaccurate if your device is not synchronized.
