What is Text to PDF?

Turn plain text into a simple downloadable PDF document in your browser.

How it works

Up to 100,000 plain-text characters are wrapped using measured Helvetica widths and drawn onto as many letter-size PDF pages as needed. Explicit line breaks and blank lines are preserved. This is a basic text export, not an HTML, Markdown, or office-document converter.

Common uses
  • Export a short Latin-script note as a PDF.
  • Produce a simple printable text fixture for testing.
Limitations
  • Built-in Helvetica does not support every Unicode character; unsupported characters produce an error.
  • Rich formatting, embedded images, tables, and exact editor-layout preservation are not supported.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export emoji or every language?
It uses a built-in font with a limited character set. Unsupported characters need a separate font-aware document tool.
Is Markdown rendered?
No. Markdown syntax is treated as ordinary text.
