What is Morse Code Translator?

Translate letters and digits to International Morse code or decode Morse back to text, with optional browser-generated tone playback.

How it works
  1. Choose Text to Morse or Morse to Text.
  2. Enter letters and numbers, or enter dot-dash groups separated by spaces.
  3. Translate and review the output; unsupported input is marked with a question mark when decoding.
  4. Play the translated Morse as a tone sequence if your browser allows audio.

Where a network request is required, SiteIndex validates public HTTP/HTTPS targets before making the request.

Common uses
  • Look up the Morse representation of a short call sign.
  • Decode a practice sequence with spaces between letters.
  • Listen to an educational dot-and-dash example using a browser tone.
Limitations
  • Results depend on the browser, network, input, and external service involved.
  • This tool is informational and does not replace specialist diagnostics or professional advice.
Frequently asked questions
Which Morse code standard is used?
The translator uses common International Morse code for the Latin alphabet A–Z and decimal digits 0–9.
How do I separate words when decoding?
Use a slash between words and spaces between letter codes, for example ... --- ... / .- -... .
Is the audio a realistic radio transmission?
No. Playback is a simple locally generated tone and does not model radio equipment, timing conventions, or transmission conditions.
